Re: 2009 House Bill 285 (Abolish the Death Penalty )

After watching the entire 'OZ' DVD series non-stop I do not believe the death penalty is needed. I realize the series was made in Hollywood, but it was based on a real prison experiment in California. Here in Roswell we have 32 cold cases where the suspects are no longer alive. Why? Because the bad guys got the other bad guys and save the tax payers a lot of money. I don’t know if you call this a code or a culture, but many times justice is served on the streets. Is this right – NO, but it is what it is and no amount of police will stop it. It has to be nip in the womb and early childhood. To clerify, many of these bad guys are born into their lifestyle. They just need an opportunity to be enlightened. The death penalty is after the fact.
