SB486 is revenue neutral. It seeks to allow neighborhoods on small ditches to mainage their own ditch by calling for maintenance from the MRGCD and allowing them to parcel out water to their own members. It promotes open space in the valley, food security and community comity. I have urged all senators to support this Bill. It should reduce operation and maintenance by the MRGCD and contribute to lower ad valorem taxes within the District.
