Sanchez (D) on January 16, 2008, to require residents and non-residents to register, request a permit and pay an annual $50 fee to the state in order for up to 24 cases of wine per year to be shipped directly to a New Mexico resident. The bill also requires payment of liquor excise and gross receipts taxes on these shipments.
