Introduced by Sen. H. Diane Snyder (R) on January 16, 2008, to appropriate $2,000,000 for the state drinking water revolving loan fund, a loan program to provide local authorities with low-cost financial assistance in the construction of necessary drinking water facilities. Laws of 2001 allowed private community water systems to qualify for funding. The appropriation would generate $8 million in matching funds from the Environmental Protection Agency.
