• Introduced by Rep. John A. Heaton (D) on January 15, 2008, to appropriate $181,000 to pay for work force and vocational training through New Mexico State University’s manufacturing development program in Carlsbad. This funding would pay for instructors and additional welders for the Engineered Products Division of Washington TRU Solutions, the authorized contractor for the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant.
