Salazar (D) on January 17, 2008, to appropriate $75,000 for the Cultural Affairs Department to pay for a program to honor Chimayo valley elders, teaching arts and crafts to Chimayo-area youth, a high school art show in Espanola, tours of Chimayo-area arts business and artists, and an oral history of the Chimayo area.
